Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years industry experience in selling into higher education, education technology or research marketplace.
  • 5+ years industry experience as a sales leader.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or other relevant advanced degrees (preferred).
  • Experience running a $75 million territory with numerous academic/research accounts.
  • History of driving revenue growth and effective team performance management.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, deal cadence, and management principles.
  • Advanced negotiations skills and strategic relationship development skills.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI) and CRM systems like Salesforce.
Responsibilities:
  • Directly manage a team of about 5 individual contributor direct reports.
  • Coordinate all sales activities with specialist, renewal, and customer success teams.
  • Lead, direct, and review the work of the teams to achieve targets.
  • Influence diverse stakeholder groups to ensure acceptance of policies.
  • Shape strategic initiatives for the department and organization.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback for team success.
  • Make staffing decisions for the teams.
