Lead DevOps Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or greater.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity.
• Experience in deploying and operating infrastructure and applications on AWS and other cloud environments.
• Development and operation experience using open-source and commercial software in a cloud-centric environment.
• Server build and administration experience, both Linux and Windows.
• Proficiency with GitHub/GitLab for source control.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development tools and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud orchestration and containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of large-scale databases and distributed technologies such as RDS.
• Understanding of distributed event streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Ability to write/maintain automation scripts using Bash/Shell or Python.
• Experience mentoring and leading team members.

Responsibilities:

• Help lead the development and implementation of secure cloud environments for data and analytical platforms.
• Build, test and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Contribute to the coding of custom test automation frameworks.
• Assist with environment setup and maintenance for testing.
• Support production incidents with investigation and resolution.
• Perform routine application maintenance tasks.
• Conduct gap analysis and identify solutions.
• Participate in contingency planning with backup and restore procedures.
• Document functions and changes to modules and testing activities.
• Mentor the team to meet customer requirements.
