Software Engineer, Content Delivery

Requirements:

• 7+ years of engineering in building cloud-native applications, with a strong focus on backend development and microservices architecture.
• Experience in Typescript/Node.js or Golang.
• Experience with databases, including DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, MySQL, or PostgresDB.
• Extensive experience with AWS, developing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications.
• Experience in CI/CD and SDLC processes, specifically with GitHub Actions and IaC (Pulumi).
• Experience in operational excellence including on-call rotations and incident management.
• Ability to write clean, functional, high-quality, and testable code.
• Thrive in Agile and collaborative environments.
• Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented team player.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers, product managers, and project managers to implement new features across Crunchyroll's Content Delivery.
• Improve the scalability of our services through proper planning and load testing.
• Improve the availability of our platform through better monitoring, performance reporting, and error reporting.
• Enhance server response times of APIs by profiling, identifying, and eliminating bottlenecks.
• Consider system security in every design decision.
• Collaborate with operations to evaluate new infrastructure.
• Research and generate innovative ways to serve our customers.
• Plan, analyze, and optimize for team growth.
• Support and improve internal processes.
• Collaborate with other teams within the company.
