Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or similar position.
• 2+ years of experience designing PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Project management skills with the ability to lead teams.
• Intermediate project scheduling capabilities.
• Beginner to intermediate level project costing/budgeting experience.
• Knowledge of national electric and building codes.
• Intermediate understanding of system design and optimization for PV and BESS systems (5MW AC to 50MW+ AC).
• Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, PVCase, PVSyst, PVBid, Salesforce, and MS Office Suite.
• Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced company.

Responsibilities:

• Design projects according to Convergent Design Standards and improve design tools.
• Manage several complex projects utilizing lean management and critical path scheduling.
• Anticipate project challenges and establish proactive strategies.
• Evaluate and perform feasibility analyses on potential sites.
• Collaborate with external vendors for project deliverables.
• Assist in improving design engineering tools based on business needs.
• Support team members in navigating challenging projects.
• Align engineering goals with business objectives.
• Lead design engineering improvement initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced team members in technical and business knowledge.
