Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Experience working with adult acquired cases, especially in dysphagia.
- Strong skills in triage and assessment.
- Proficient in remote working and communication methods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform triage clinics remotely, contacting all new referrals to evaluate their needs.
- Prioritise cases based on urgency and determine the appropriateness of referrals.
- Provide signposting to relevant services when necessary.
- Manage a caseload predominantly of adult clients with dysphagia and other acquired communication disorders.
- Utilise effective communication skills to liaise with clients and healthcare professionals for accurate triage decisions.
- Exhibit sound clinical judgement in evaluating referrals and recommending appropriate interventions.
