Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Must be currently barred in New Jersey.
• Familiarity with capturing billable hours.
• Ability to handle caseload with little to no supervision.
• Must live within a commutable distance to New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire legal process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings.
• Represent clients in depositions, site inspections, court hearings, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements as required.
• Research applicable laws and develop legal strategies for all litigation stages.
• Share strategies with claims representatives and insured clients.
• Establish and maintain relationships with claims representatives and insured clients.
• Conduct training sessions for various departments.
• Develop and draft clear legal opinions and documents including pleadings and motions.
