Quality Engineer (Remote in Utah)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, STEM, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a test engineer in an agile environment.
• 1+ years of programming experience as a software engineer, software automation engineer, technical quality engineer, or a related field.
• Understanding of functional aspects of web and RESTful applications.
• Working knowledge of basic SQL.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, etc.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, Swagger.
• Experience with CI tools, bug tracking tools, git-based source control, IDEs, and test case management tools.
• Strong interest in transitioning to DevOps is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements analysis, identifying gaps.
• Lead design reviews, and suggest improvements for testability, performance, reliability, and usability.
• Design test scripts and user journeys for developers.
• Create tools to help developers test their code.
• Review code for test coverage.
• Coordinate exploratory testing and bug bashes.
• Establish product monitoring.
• Support quality assessment with test results and metrics.
• Facilitate releases through stakeholder communication.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
