• 5+ years of industry experience in a relevant domain.
• Hands-on expertise as a computational chemist with peer-reviewed manuscripts and contributions to code bases.
• Expertise in mathematical techniques used in quantum computing such as linear algebra and probability theory.
• Desire to closely work with global collaborators and potential for international travel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop impactful quantum chemistry algorithms and applications that promise commercial advantages.
• Collaborate with compiler, cloud, and system/hardware teams for optimized hybrid quantum workflows.
• Evaluate and communicate computational chemistry methods and their trade-offs.
• Work with global clients to define and solve real-world problems using IonQ's quantum computers.
• Build reusable software platforms to expand IonQ's user base.
