About FOSSA
Modern software heavily relies on open source, and FOSSA builds the essential infrastructure to manage this critical component. You'll join a company that helps thousands of organizations, including Uber, Ford, and Zendesk, automate license compliance, prioritize vulnerabilities, generate Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs), and meet regulatory requirements. Since its founding in 2015, FOSSA has been focused on eliminating the trade-off between speed, compliance, and security in software development, enabling teams to ship trusted software.
How We Work
FOSSA is a rapidly growing, remote-first company with a truly distributed team across several countries and time zones. We cultivate strong relationships with our customers and each other through integrity and accountability. Our culture fosters a low-ego, team-first environment where people are encouraged to take initiative and execute quickly with purpose. You'll find a supportive team recognized nationally as a 'Best Startup to Work For' by Built In and Forbes.
Engineering at FOSSA
As an engineer at FOSSA, you'll tackle the complex challenges of managing open source at scale, working on problems that span license compliance, vulnerability management, and SBOM generation. The platform integrates seamlessly with existing CI/CD pipelines and supports a wide range of languages and tools. FOSSA's approach to engineering focuses on understanding the 'why' behind processes, evolving as the team grows, and allowing for slack capacity to address bugs and customer needs effectively. You'll be building solutions that help developers prevent vulnerabilities in software development and ensure compliance from the earliest stages.
