Requirements:

• A multiple year track record of excellence leading the technical work of a team in the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning models.
• Self-starter mindset; proactively identify issues and opportunities.
• Solid grounding in SQL and Python, and a willingness to learn Go lang.
• Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production.
• Comfortable exploring potentially ambiguous business problems.
• Ability to communicate machine learning concepts effectively to non-domain colleagues.
• Experience in mentoring ML practitioners and sharing knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Lead ML Scientist, you’ll be one of the most senior Individual Contributors (IC) in the organisation.
• Provide key technical leadership and ship highly impactful ML-based solutions.
• Work across the collective identifying the most impactful areas and pushing solution development forward.
• Mentor and level up less experienced ML practitioners.
• Impact how people across Monzo use ML tools to improve customer outcomes.
• Work end to end, collaborating across data disciplines and cross-functional squads to deliver real-time models.
