Requirements
- Have five or more years of experience building production data pipelines.
- Have strong Python skills and experience building services from scratch.
- Use automated tests and sound design patterns to build maintainable, scalable code.
- Have deep production experience with a cloud data warehouse; Snowflake is preferred, with BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks also relevant.
- Have hands-on experience with Airflow or a similar orchestration tool.
- Be comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.
- Work across the data lifecycle, from collection through use.
- Communicate clearly and directly, mostly in writing.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production data pipelines on Snowflake and Airflow, plus the Python services that power them.
- Help steer the platform's evolution and grow into end-to-end ownership.
- Build tests and monitoring into the work from the start.
- Help build AI agents for repetitive data questions and investigations.
- Work with Product Managers and stakeholders early to design data into product features.
- Take requests and roadmap items from concept to production, challenging concepts and decisions early.
- Manage day-to-day data work, including requests, pipeline changes, and new sources and feeds.
- Model data for analysis and reporting in collaboration with the analyst's needs.
- Improve documentation, tests, standardisation, and retire unneeded platform components.
