Requirements
- Bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience configuring and administering AWS cloud infrastructure for production applications.
- Have experience deploying and operating containerised applications on Kubernetes.
- Have experience using Terraform or OpenTofu for automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Have production cloud operations experience, including monitoring, incident analysis, and incident handling.
- Have German proficiency sufficient for technical communication at a minimum B2 level.
- Grafana and OpenSearch experience for monitoring, logging, and technical error analysis is a plus.
- Helm and GitOps tools such as Flux experience is a plus.
- Experience with AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS is a plus.
- Python, AWS Lambda, and Renovate automation experience is a plus.
- PostgreSQL on AWS RDS and Kafka, preferably Amazon MSK, experience is a plus.
- Experience with Karpenter or equivalent Kubernetes node-scaling solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and optimize production applications and infrastructure hosted in AWS.
- Detect, analyze, and resolve incidents; participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
- Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform or OpenTofu and maintain related codebases.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and associated tooling.
- Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker, Helm, and GitOps workflows with Flux.
- Manage AWS security configurations, including IAM roles, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
- Support and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS in production.
- Configure and improve monitoring and logging with Grafana and OpenSearch.
- Operate and optimize Kafka infrastructure using Amazon MSK, and manage Kubernetes node scaling with Karpenter.
- Automate operational tasks and dependency updates using Python, AWS Lambda, and Renovate; maintain runbooks and technical documentation.
