Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have exposure to Elixir/Erlang, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Understand API design best practices.
- Have experience with testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Have experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and high-traffic or data-intensive applications.
- Have knowledge of client-side or system performance optimisation.
- Understand CI/CD, code standards, and modern engineering practices.
- Have experience with real-time or near-real-time data processing systems.
- Be familiar with event-driven architecture, async messaging, and stream processing.
- Have experience building complex business logic systems such as rules engines, decision frameworks, or policy engines.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Elixir and related technologies.
- Lead architecture and technical design discussions with cross-functional teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code aligned with internal standards.
- Optimise performance, scalability, and system efficiency.
- Design and implement integrations with third-party APIs and services.
- Troubleshoot complex functionality, performance, and reliability issues, and participate in on-call incident response.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Build and evolve rules engines, decision frameworks, policy systems, and real-time or near-real-time data pipelines.
- Implement security and data protection best practices and contribute to feature planning and system improvements.
