Requirements
- Have 10+ years of professional software engineering experience and a track record of shipping products.
- Have experience as a tech lead, team lead, or engineering manager; prior direct management experience is a strong plus.
- Have built and delivered full-stack features using modern web technologies.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow.
- Demonstrate leadership and ownership through mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Have designed systems that balance quick iteration with reliability and maintainability.
- Have partnered with product, design, and non-technical stakeholders to define requirements, make tradeoffs, and deliver outcomes.
- Be able to prioritize your own work and your team's work with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the domain and contribute to architecture decisions, API contracts, and data models.
- Design, build, and deliver features across the platform from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
- Write and deploy production-grade code regularly.
- Review designs, improve developer experience, and help engineers work through complex problems.
- Directly manage a team of 2–4 engineers, including regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth and performance conversations.
- Drive team planning, prioritization, and execution, and be accountable for delivery outcomes.
- Coach engineers and support their skills, scope, and career development.
- Partner with product and design to translate real-world processes into software and balance speed with quality.
- Recruit and interview candidates.
