Languages: Professional working proficiency in both Somali and English, spoken and written. Arabic proficiency is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in career development or coaching, recruitment, professional counseling, or program management focused on job seekers.

Have professional working proficiency in spoken and written Somali and English, with executive-ready communication skills.
Have a 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
Have 2+ years of professional experience in career development or coaching, recruitment, professional counseling, or program management focused on job seekers.
Have experience guiding adult learners or job seekers and building trusting relationships with them.
Have experience delivering career coaching fully remotely.
Be familiar with remote and international hiring, including online job and freelance platforms.
Be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and close attention to detail.
Be comfortable using Google Workspace, Zoom, and Pumble or Slack, and learning new tools.
Be able to reliably meet learners during East Africa Time program hours.
Preferred: experience in data-, technology-, or AI-related recruiting or careers.
Preferred: Arabic proficiency and familiarity with Maay and standard Somali.
Preferred: familiarity with the Somali labor market and practical barriers facing young Somali job seekers, including connectivity, online payments, and documentation.

Hold scheduled one-to-one coaching sessions and provide ad hoc support during posted office hours.
Communicate with learners in English and Somali as needed.
Coach learners on remote job searches, online freelance and gig platforms, remote-work expectations, and interview preparation, including mock interviews in English.
Share weekly asynchronous updates on learner wins, flags, and announcements.
Attend bi-weekly team syncs with the Correlation One operations team.
Respond to learner messages on Pumble or Slack and by email within 24 hours.
Log notes from coaching meetings and update each learner's job-search and placement status monthly.
Give feedback on learner resume drafts, LinkedIn profiles, and final resumes, and on freelance-platform profiles where relevant.
