Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of documented, hands-on Chef experience, including cookbook development and configuration automation.
- Have at least 7 years of overall IT experience.
- Have at least 5 years of advanced Linux server administration experience with Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in Linux environments.
- Write scripts in at least one of Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Have practical experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Have AWS experience with services including EC2, S3, security groups, and networking.
- Have practical experience with GitLab and Grafana.
- Have experience in enterprise environments with high availability requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Have very good spoken and written English.
- Be willing to participate in on-call rotations and regular business travel to the Baltic countries for 2–3 days every 2–3 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Automate and standardize provisioning, system configuration, and software deployments using Chef.
- Stabilize critical Linux infrastructure and maintain consistency in high-availability environments.
- Write automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, security groups, and network architecture.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and analyze issues in Linux environments.
- Maintain and develop CI/CD tools using GitLab and monitoring with Grafana.
- Create and update technical documentation in an enterprise environment.
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle occasional overtime.
- Travel onsite in the Baltic region for 2–3 days every 2–3 weeks.
