Requirements
- Have 3–9 years of professional experience in ETL development, Java development, or data engineering.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java.
- Have hands-on experience with Spring Boot and backend application development.
- Have strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Have experience developing and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Understand data extraction, transformation, and loading concepts.
- Have experience writing and executing unit tests.
- Understand debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Understand REST APIs and backend integration.
- Be familiar with Git and version control systems.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server; Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi; JUnit or Mockito; Maven or Gradle; microservices; cloud platforms; CI/CD; Agile/Scrum; or data warehousing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
- Develop backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations.
- Build and maintain data integration and transformation workflows.
- Implement data validation and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop reusable components and scalable solutions for data processing.
- Perform unit testing and troubleshoot ETL pipeline failures and application issues.
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Collaborate with data engineers, backend developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Support production deployments and maintain technical documentation.
