Requirements
- Have prior retail brokerage experience.
- Have 3+ years of industry experience with a strong background in commercial insurance.
- Hold a Property & Casualty Broker’s License upon hire.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Bring prior client service and/or industry and product line experience.
- Have experience with transportation or trucking clients; this is ideal.
- Have intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Have experience with and adaptability to Copilot or similar AI tools.
- Be able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deliverables.
- Maintain a private home workspace, high-speed internet, and responsiveness during the work shift.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with carrier and client contacts and take an active role in meetings.
- Bind and endorse policies, issue certificates, bill invoices, and request payments for assigned clients.
- Communicate with clients and carriers to obtain accurate information for marketing renewals.
- Prepare and send renewal quotation requests to applicable insurance carriers and propose options to insureds.
- Quote policy changes, facilitate financing, collect additional premium and down payments, and ensure carrier payments are received.
- Update and maintain client policy records in the agency management system.
- Respond to client questions by phone and email, and follow up on suspense items and outstanding information.
