Job Details

Have 8+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
Bring direct, recent ownership of production ETL and warehouse modeling.
Have strong SQL skills and experience with a cloud warehouse; Snowflake is preferred.
Have experience with ETL tooling and a transformation and modeling layer.
Have a track record of making brittle, duplicated, or undocumented pipelines reliable, documented, and trusted.
Demonstrate strong data modeling fundamentals and a bias toward a single source of truth.
Have experience designing data governance and handling sensitive data.
Be comfortable with security and access control in a regulated environment.
Healthcare or HIPAA experience, including familiarity with EMR data (FHIR) and claims, is preferred.
Experience with D2C growth metrics is preferred.
Experience with Amplitude, product event taxonomy, or AI/LLM-assisted analytics is preferred.
Experience building and managing a data team at a high-growth startup is preferred.

Audit and stabilize ETL pipelines across Fivetran and Mozart into Snowflake.
Consolidate duplicated models, metrics, and transformation logic into a documented modeling layer.
Map collected data against business needs and close source-data gaps.
Establish data-quality testing, monitoring, and alerting.
Define a canonical metric and semantic layer.
Shape data strategy and advise leadership on tooling, investments, and build-versus-buy decisions.
Own data governance, access control, and PHI and PII handling.
Enable trustworthy self-serve analytics for departmental stakeholders and data analysts.
Own the shared AI-ready data layer and canonical terminology definitions.
Hire, mentor, and lead the data engineering function over time.
