Requirements
- Bring a broad technical perspective and adaptability across modern software stacks and architectures.
- Have strong production experience with modern React and TypeScript, including Node.js, async patterns, testing, and monorepo tooling.
- Have working proficiency with Python for backend services, evaluations, analysis, and automation.
- Have hands-on AWS experience including serverless services, containers, networking, compute, and IAM.
- Have shipped production features leveraging LLM APIs, including prompts, tool calling, structured output, and long context.
- Be able to describe the evaluation that gated an LLM feature release, what failed, and what changed.
- Be able to read and safely modify Terraform configurations across environments.
- Have hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL stores, schema changes, and live-system migrations.
- Be able to design metrics, logs, and alarms for non-deterministic systems and debug production issues.
- Be proficient with modern CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI/CD is preferred.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English and able to articulate trade-offs and align team members around technical decisions.
- Desirable experience includes multi-agent systems, MCP servers, evaluation frameworks, LLM cost control, prompt-injection defense, GraphQL, code intelligence, Kubernetes, AWS AppSync, EventBridge, and Playwright or Cucumber.
Responsibilities
- Build production AI agents using TypeScript services on AWS with Strands or LangGraph and AI SDKs.
- Design agent behavior, defining what the model investigates and what code enforces.
- Build sandboxed agent runtimes with scoped tool access and budget and timeout guards.
- Evaluate AI features using golden sets, production replays, calibrated judges, and release gates.
- Emit reason-coded metrics and structured logs, alert on failures, and investigate production issues in Splunk and VictoriaMetrics.
- Maintain Terraform roots across environments and improve GitLab CI/CD for build, test, deployment, and quality gates.
- Build integrations that handle retries, rate limits, permanent failures, and stale state.
- Review AI-written changes for security, correctness, and maintainability.
- Configure assistants, skills, hooks, and MCP servers, and share practices with engineering teams.
- Build React and API-based agent-facing tools, and document systems with diagrams, runbooks, and decision records.
