Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or AI/Machine Learning, with at least 1 year in the complementary domain.
- Strong SQL development skills, including SQL dialects, stored procedures, Common Table Expressions, and complex queries.
- Significant programming experience with Python, Scala, Java, or similar languages.
- Practical experience with source control and version management tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience with data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and concepts, including DynamoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Experience with data streaming and distributed processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
- Ability to lead technical conversations with international clients and communicate complex concepts.
- Advanced English proficiency and availability for at least six hours of daily overlap with the US Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, and clients to design and implement data pipelines, platforms, lakes, warehouses, and cloud-based architectures.
- Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, production-ready data engineering and AI solutions.
- Design and deliver enterprise machine learning and generative AI solutions using Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD practices.
- Build, maintain, and optimize cloud-native data architectures and processing workflows.
- Develop reusable, standardized data products and engineering components.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Work with data warehouses, NoSQL databases, and streaming technologies for data ingestion, processing, storage, and integration.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Lead client technical discussions, manage expectations, and build professional relationships.
