Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer in Test.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Practical experience reading and writing Dockerfiles, working with multi-container setups, and debugging containerized environments.
- Experience with manual and exploratory testing.
- Ability to turn testing findings into clear, actionable defect reports.
- Ability to collaborate across QA, development, and DevOps.
- Demonstrated AI literacy, using AI tools to improve productivity and quality while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Nice to have: experience writing and maintaining Ruby on Rails code.
- Nice to have: experience optimizing CI workflows, including caching, parallelization, and runner sizing and cost trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Docker-based test environments used locally and in CI, including Dockerfiles and Docker Compose setups.
- Identify tooling improvements, propose solutions, and contribute to the team's roadmap with QA leadership, engineering managers, and DevOps.
- Maintain and improve GitHub Actions workflows that run test suites, focusing on reliability and execution time.
- Help shape release validation for containerized deployments across configurations and version combinations.
- Participate in feature kick-offs and refinement, perform manual and exploratory testing, and write automated tests.
- Document, track, and verify defects found during product testing.
- Gather feedback on internal tools, iterate on them, communicate changes, and help drive adoption.
- Identify, track, and fix flaky tests, and make test data self-contained and API-seeded.
