Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have experience writing production-grade code in Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, C# or a similar language.
- Bring security depth in threat modeling.
- Understand identity and authentication flows.
- Know the OWASP Top 10.
- Have cloud security experience.
- Have supply-chain security experience.
- Have a track record of making organizations measurably safer by closing risks.
- Healthcare experience and knowledge of HIPAA and HITRUST are a plus.
- Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus.
- Experience building internal developer platforms or secure-by-default tooling adopted by other engineers is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented startup is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own security problems end to end, deciding what matters, building solutions, and shipping them independently.
- Identify real risks and build direct controls to address them.
- Build secure-by-default libraries, guardrails, and tooling for engineering teams.
- Define and implement strict least-privilege guardrails across services to safeguard sensitive patient information and health metrics.
- Harden developer machines to reduce supply-chain attack risk.
- Partner with compliance to turn control objectives into practical controls.
- Help focus compliance-related effort on requirements that reduce risk and support commercial opportunities, including HITRUST and health plan requirements.
