Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning.
- Bring strong Python and SQL skills.
- Be comfortable working with large, messy real-world datasets.
- Have experience developing and evaluating supervised machine-learning models.
- Bring practical experience with experimentation and statistical reasoning.
- Have familiarity with reinforcement learning or decisioning frameworks.
- Be able to independently frame problems and drive analysis from ambiguity to impact.
- Communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
- A STEM degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience in telecom, subscription, pricing, churn, or retention analytics is a plus.
- Exposure to contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, or policy optimization is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI agents is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Translate business asks into modeling tasks and evaluation frameworks.
- Explore data quality, label stability, and measurement feasibility before modeling.
- Define success metrics, guardrails, and counterfactual approaches.
- Create and maintain training datasets from production data sources.
- Engineer and validate features, accounting for temporal correctness and leakage.
- Train and evaluate supervised learning models for customer decision problems.
- Implement and tune decision logic, including contextual bandit or reinforcement-learning approaches.
- Design and analyze A/B tests or staged rollouts and translate results into product decisions.
- Work with engineers to integrate models into live workflows and specify inputs, outputs, and logging requirements.
- Build dashboards, investigate anomalies, and communicate findings and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
