Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data and analytics, beginning in BI or analytics and subsequently moving into AI.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere, including spaces, Data Builder, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows, and task chains.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud, including models, stories, analytic applications, live and import connections, and row-level security.
- Working understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud, data products, foundation services, and the interplay between SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and Databricks.
- Strong data modelling and SQL skills, including semantic layer design, performance tuning and data quality.
- Hands-on Python programming experience for data and AI workloads, with Git-based version control and testing.
- Practical Microsoft Copilot Studio experience with agents, topics, knowledge sources, actions, connectors, Power Platform integration and deployment governance.
- Experience building RAG pipelines and taking AI agents into production, including orchestration, tool calling, guardrails, observability and evaluation.
- Understanding of LLM fundamentals, including prompt engineering, context management, structured output, model selection and hallucination mitigation.
- Experience leading a workstream, squad or small team, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
- Awareness of data and AI governance requirements, including GDPR, the EU AI Act and responsible AI principles.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, development and operation of the SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud analytics platform within SAP Business Data Cloud.
- Design data models, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows, and task chains integrating SAP and non-SAP sources.
- Develop and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud models, stories and analytic applications, ensuring performance, usability and consistent KPI definitions.
- Identify, qualify and prioritise AI use cases with business stakeholders, assessing feasibility, value and risk.
- Design, build and productionise RAG pipelines, including ingestion, retrieval, grounding and answer-quality evaluation.
- Build, deploy and maintain AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and comparable frameworks, integrating them with Teams, M365 and enterprise systems.
- Develop reusable Python components, APIs and services using version control, testing, code review and CI/CD practices.
- Establish evaluation, monitoring, logging and guardrails for AI solutions.
- Take use cases from proof of concept into documented production deployments and hand them over to operations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring, maintain the analytics and AI roadmap, and build organisational literacy through training and documentation.
