Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Hold an active Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in addiction medicine.
- Have experience prescribing substance use disorder medications.
- Have experience with harm reduction.
- Hold an active DEA license.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Be willing to obtain licensure in additional states.
- Be able to work independently online and adapt to a changing work environment.
- Be familiar with Google Drive, spreadsheets, documentation, video conferencing, and secure email.
- Work a 4x10 schedule, four days per week and 10 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Co-facilitate virtual shared medical appointments and individual appointments.
- Conduct new patient evaluations.
- Provide clinical assessments, treatments, and medication management.
- Develop appropriate assessments, treatment plans, and referrals for patient problems.
- Prescribe and monitor medications for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
- Provide patient education and referrals based on assessed needs.
- Maintain confidentiality standards, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
- Resolve member inquiries and address members’ needs.
