Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Have experience building and maintaining production Rails applications at scale.
- Understand relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Be proficient with modern JavaScript and React.
- Have experience with Git workflows and code review practices.
- Be able to work independently in remote or distributed teams.
- Have strong experience in test-driven development (TDD) and modern development practices.
- Be able to manage deliverables independently.
- Work 40 hours per week on a full-time contract.
- Overlap 2-4 hours with US Eastern Time for team syncs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features for the Rails-based platform serving over 1 million developers.
- Design, write, and maintain software through the lifecycle from conception to deployment.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to engineering documentation.
- Debug and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with product and design on feature specifications and technical approaches.
