Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong experience with Golang and C++.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with RESTful API design principles.
- Experience deploying and managing services in Kubernetes across private (on-prem) and public cloud environments.
- Direct experience building real-time simulation or other highly performance-critical, low-latency systems.
- Clear, candid communication skills and ability to align cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Familiarity with NATS or other asynchronous messaging frameworks is preferred.
- Background in GIS data processing or other mathematically intensive fields is preferred.
- Leadership experience and a multi-language scripting toolkit are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and architect robust software features and distributed modules.
- Break down complex project requirements into actionable implementation plans for your pod.
- Mentor less experienced engineers in system design, performance optimization, and cloud-native development.
- Identify and propose improvements, including technical debt removal and development process optimization.
- Collaborate with artists, game developers, veterans, and other stakeholders to deliver production-grade systems.
- Perform code reviews, drive feature estimations, and participate in engineering hiring.
