Requirements
- Bring a strong foundation in data science, including machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation.
- Have hands-on experience building and deploying models.
- Be proficient in Python, SQL and data manipulation.
- Understand data quality, governance and ethical considerations in analytics.
- Have experience translating business problems into analytical solutions.
- Have circa two years in data science, machine learning or a related analytical role.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and exercise ownership and independent judgement on day-to-day modelling under the technical guidance of a Senior Data Scientist.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning models and analytical solutions, from data exploration through production.
- Make day-to-day technical decisions on feature engineering, model selection, analytical techniques and data requirements within agreed team standards.
- Resolve technical challenges during model development and deployment, seeking guidance from the Senior Data Scientist on complex or high-impact decisions.
- Deliver high-quality, reliable outputs that influence project success and provide clear, actionable value to stakeholders.
