Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Have experience operating high-traffic, high-availability systems at scale.
- Bring deep, hands-on experience running production infrastructure on AWS.
- Have experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform or a similar tool.
- Have production PostgreSQL expertise, including connection pooling, migrations, performance optimization, and backup and restore.
- Have experience building or maintaining production CI/CD pipelines.
- Understand distributed-systems concepts such as ordering guarantees, idempotency, retries, at-least-once delivery, and partial-failure recovery.
- Be able to read and understand TypeScript and Node.js application code, including NestJS codebases.
- Have experience with AI-assisted development workflows, such as agentic coding tools, multi-agent setups, or MCP servers.
- Bring independent technical judgment to debugging and architecture reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate deployments from commit through production.
- Manage production PostgreSQL configuration, performance tuning, migrations, and backup strategies.
- Balance delivery speed with investment in foundational system quality.
- Work with stakeholders and product teams to shape architecture and technical direction.
- Explore AI-assisted development tools and integrate them into build and deployment workflows.
- Diagnose complex distributed-systems issues and deliver pragmatic solutions for high-availability services.
