- Hold an MS or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computational Science, Theoretical Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field; alternatively, hold a BS in Mathematics or a closely related field plus at least 1–2 years of mathematics-focused professional or research experience.
- Have strong expertise in at least one mathematical area, such as applied mathematics, numerical analysis, optimization, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, algebra, geometry, mathematical modeling, or dynamical systems.
- Use Python or an equivalent command-line-accessible mathematical tool.
- Relevant tools may include Python, SymPy, SageMath, SciPy, CVXPY, NumPy, GNU Octave, or Julia.
- Relevant Python tools may include pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, statsmodels, NetworkX, numerical solvers, optimization libraries, or domain-specific scientific packages.
Responsibilities
- Solve and validate advanced mathematical and computational problems.
- Translate mathematical requirements into precise, executable workflows.
- Implement mathematical workflows using Python and command-line-accessible tools.
- Automate calculations, numerical experiments, parameter sweeps, visualization, and result validation using Python.
- Create, review, and validate mathematical tasks for an AI training project.
