Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, ideally across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Demonstrate strong Linux system administration skills, including command-line operations and shell scripting.
- Be proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD orchestration platforms, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
- Have experience designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for distributed applications and infrastructure.
- Be able to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application failures in production or production-like environments.
- Understand SRE principles, including incident management, post-incident analysis, service reliability, and resilience engineering.
- Have experience building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure.
- Be able to collaborate effectively across remote, cross-functional teams.
- Balance delivery speed with security, scalability, reliability, and cloud cost optimization.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end test environments across AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Automate test-environment provisioning, scaling, configuration, and teardown using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Integrate testing environments with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins pipelines.
- Monitor system health and analyze metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK stack, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Improve cloud performance and cost-efficiency through resource right-sizing, spot instances, and reserved capacity planning.
- Implement security hardening policies, IAM roles, and infrastructure compliance checks.
- Collaborate with SRE teams on SLAs, incident response plans, and disaster recovery procedures for testing infrastructure.
- Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and resilience testing under realistic workloads.
- Mentor junior engineers and share DevOps, cloud engineering, and SRE best practices.
- Document system architecture, operational procedures, and runbooks.
