Requirements
- Have 8+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in SRE, CRE, or production engineering.
- Bring strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Be familiar with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Helm, Terraform, or Jsonnet.
- Have experience operating multi-tenant systems in production.
- Have strong experience designing and implementing SLOs.
- Have experience with one or more programming languages, such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Understand Linux operating system internals, with some knowledge of networking, cloud storage, and scaling.
- Have experience providing technical leadership, leading project work, and mentoring engineers.
- Be able to participate in blame-free incident response, follow up on actions, and write high-quality post-incident reviews.
- Be able to reason about performance, scaling, and failure modes.
- Be able to partner closely with product engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own production reliability for high-SLA and complex customer environments.
- Define and evolve per-tenant SLOs and reliability models, and proactively reduce SLO burn.
- Design and implement automation to scale reliability practices and eliminate toil.
- Improve customer observability, alert quality, and reduce noisy escalations.
- Lead customer-impacting incident response, investigations, and post-incident reviews.
- Partner with product engineering squads on design docs, code reviews, and production operability.
- Influence feature design and product strategy to support scalability and reliability.
- Teach SRE practices and communicate reliability best practices early in feature development.
