Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 6 years of relevant software engineering experience, including backend services or API development.
- Have strong experience building backend services and APIs in TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Python, Java, or a similar language.
- Have strong front-end development experience with React.js, Vue.js, Svelte, or a similar modern framework.
- Have experience designing GraphQL, REST, or gRPC APIs with clear contracts, documentation, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Have experience with relational databases such as Postgres, server-side data modeling, and transactional system design.
- Have experience with automated testing, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS-based backend deployment practices.
- Have experience with containerized deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
- Understand distributed systems concerns including reliability, failure handling, observability, and operational support.
- Have strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and APIs that support the robotic fleet and associated application workflows.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing within CI pipelines.
- Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and operational practices that support small, frequent, high-confidence releases.
- Ensure services and APIs include documentation, health endpoints, and uptime monitoring.
- Partner with embedded, infrastructure, and data teams to deliver useful, data-driven solutions.
- Coordinate with design and product teams to refine, scope, and develop user experiences.
- Collaborate with security and quality teams to ensure solutions meet compliance and operational requirements.
