Requirements
- Have 4–5+ years of commercial Scala experience.
- Have strong knowledge of Akka Actors and Akka Streams.
- Have hands-on experience using ZIO in production environments.
- Have practical experience with Apache Kafka and distributed systems.
- Have experience testing asynchronous applications.
- Have knowledge of AWS or other cloud environments.
- Have fluent English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time financial data streaming components.
- Build and maintain services based on Akka Actors, Streams, and HTTP.
- Develop Kafka consumers with appropriate offset handling and advanced error management.
- Work with Slick and PostgreSQL on schema modeling, queries, and migrations.
- Write unit and integration tests, especially for asynchronous code.
- Collaborate directly with the client’s engineering team in London.
