Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-scale distributed solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in domain modelling, system design, cloud architectures, and integration patterns.
- Practical experience designing and building microservices and REST APIs.
- Experience designing and building highly scalable, distributed, and secure solutions in a cloud environment such as Azure.
- Experience with relational and non-relational data stores.
- Hands-on expertise in one of the listed technology or data architecture areas.
- Technology expertise may include Spring Boot, API management, event streaming, cloud-native patterns, observability, and performance optimization.
- Data expertise may include data modelling, master and operational data stores, data ingestion and distribution patterns, ETL/ELT technologies, and database optimization.
- Demonstrable experience evaluating off-the-shelf and third-party software solutions and integration options against client requirements.
- Ability to develop schematics, data models, topologies, and architecture diagrams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify client pain points, business and technical requirements, and as-is and to-be scenarios.
- Research potential packaged software solutions.
- Work with Solution Architects and Engineers to create statements of work and proposals, documenting requirements, activities, deliverables, schedules, assumptions, and governance.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams on architecture, design, and integration of business software across product platforms.
- Ensure solutions are designed with performance, scalability, and resiliency in mind.
- Train engineering teams on DevOps principles, development frameworks, and best practices.
- Contribute to the consistency and sustainability of solutions and systems developed and maintained by SVI.
