Requirements
- Have 5+ years of back-end development experience delivering production-ready applications.
- Bring strong PHP expertise and a deep understanding of software design principles and scalable architecture.
- Have extensive hands-on experience with Symfony.
- Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor on production code, beyond IDE autocomplete.
- Plan and verify work with plans, tests, and blocking checks rather than relying on generated output.
- Demonstrate deliberate context management and skill reviewing agent-generated code.
- Be proficient with Git and modern collaborative development workflows.
- Communicate effectively when collaborating with a distributed team.
- MySQL and ORM frameworks such as Doctrine are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using PHP and Symfony.
- Ensure platform performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and developers to bring ideas from concept to launch.
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality, architecture, and team learning.
- Improve the conventions, hooks, and review automation used by coding agents.
- Own features from initial concept through implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
