Requirements
- Have 5–10 years of experience in telecom network engineering, Packet Core deployment, or related telecommunications infrastructure roles.
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on Packet Core solution implementation, deployment, integration, or upgrade experience.
- Have an end-to-end understanding of Packet Core architecture and solution implementation.
- Understand 4G and 5G call flows, network interfaces, protocols, and core network components.
- Have experience deploying Packet Core nodes on Bare Metal infrastructure, VNFs, and CNFs.
- Have hands-on experience installing, configuring, integrating, upgrading, and troubleshooting Packet Core nodes.
- Have working knowledge of SMF, UPF, PGW, and SGW and their roles in 4G/5G networks.
- Understand telecom cloud environments and deployment of EPC and Packet Core solutions on cloud infrastructure.
- Have working knowledge of Linux, VMware, Docker, containers, OpenStack, and OpenShift.
- Be proficient in network troubleshooting using Wireshark, packet captures, system logs, and protocol analysis.
- Be able to execute network deployment activities according to HLD and DLD specifications.
- Understand telecom use cases including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IoT.
Responsibilities
- Deploy Packet Core nodes on Bare Metal, VNF, and CNF architectures in telecom cloud environments.
- Implement Packet Core solutions according to customer requirements and HLD/DLD specifications.
- Install, configure, integrate, and upgrade network elements including SMF, UPF, PGW, and SGW.
- Support 4G EPC and 5G Standalone and Non-Standalone network component deployments.
- Validate system functionality and perform interoperability testing across multi-vendor network environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment and network issues using Wireshark, system logs, packet captures, and protocol-level debugging.
- Analyse and resolve 4G/5G call-flow issues involving VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IoT use cases.
- Execute upgrades, patches, migrations, and configuration changes while minimizing service disruption.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize configurations for availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Prepare deployment documentation, configuration records, test reports, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
