Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to independently contribute to production software.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- Have strong experience developing web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Have experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
- Have experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language.
- Have experience building and consuming APIs and working with service-based architectures.
- Have experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Be familiar with microservices and cloud-based applications.
- Have experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Understand software testing, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Be able to independently troubleshoot technical problems and deliver solutions.
- Work effectively in a fully remote environment and manage time and priorities well.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain production web applications, services, and APIs.
- Own features and technical projects from development through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to scope, design, and deliver features and improvements.
- Develop and maintain services and APIs that power the applications.
- Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Work across front-end and back-end systems to deliver complete solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production problems.
- Contribute to application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team planning.
- Improve development practices and overall code quality.
