Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience developing or customising ERP or business software, including customer-facing project work.
- Have Visual FoxPro development experience.
- Have production experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Bring strong SQL and data skills.
- Have experience estimating work and delivering to agreed dates.
- Be comfortable with billable, time-tracked work.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with non-technical customers.
- SYSPRO development or customisation experience is a nice-to-have.
- Android or Xamarin experience is a nice-to-have.
- Distribution, food and beverage, or manufacturing industry experience is a nice-to-have.
- Report writing (such as Crystal Reports or SSRS) and ERP integration experience are nice-to-haves.
- Jira experience is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Work through the DTEC development backlog with engineering leadership, agreeing scope and dates for each item.
- Investigate and fix defects in the DTEC product, including legacy Visual FoxPro code.
- Improve release quality and reduce repeat support issues.
- Gather customer requirements, estimate effort, and agree scope before work starts.
- Develop, test, and deploy customisations, reports, data fixes, and integrations for DTEC and Shea customers, including SYSPRO work.
- Give customers regular status updates and manage change requests.
- Track time accurately against projects for monthly billing.
- Build and maintain components using Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Use Jira and Git, document changes, and hand work over cleanly to support.
- Share knowledge and set good practices for other developers.
