Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on PHP development experience.
- Have at least 1 year of production experience with AWS or GCP.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare or another regulated environment, with familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC 2.
- Demonstrate practical PHP skills, including maintaining legacy applications, debugging, feature development, and integrations.
- Have experience with MySQL administration, query optimization, database maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Have hands-on experience with Linux server administration, Docker, cron jobs, automated backups, and production troubleshooting.
- Have experience managing WordPress websites and working with Nginx or Apache.
- Be familiar with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery at a basic to intermediate level.
- Be proficient in Bash scripting and familiar with Git and collaborative workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
- Understand secure coding, access management, data encryption, and protection of sensitive information.
- Have good written and verbal English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and improve AWS or GCP infrastructure, Linux servers, databases, and backup systems.
- Manage Linux environments, WordPress websites, MySQL databases, and Nginx or Apache web servers.
- Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, monitor system performance, and implement solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using PHP, including troubleshooting legacy code.
- Build features for internal tools and support frontend development using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot third-party service integrations.
- Create and maintain PHP and Bash scripts, configure cron jobs, and automate recurring operational tasks.
- Maintain MySQL databases, optimize queries, and investigate performance bottlenecks.
- Apply security patches, access controls, and encryption practices, and follow applicable HIPAA requirements when handling PHI.
- Coordinate technical work with development, QA, and design teams across regions and time zones.
