Requirements
- Several years of experience in a GCP environment as a Data Engineer or Data Governance Engineer.
- Several years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality.
- Practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Dataplex (Knowledge Catalog), and Data Catalog.
- Experience with data modeling and metadata.
- Advanced SQL query-writing skills and practical experience with query optimization, aggregations, and index management.
- Knowledge of data lineage, data quality, data stewardship, and data ownership.
- Experience creating technical documentation and conducting code reviews.
- English proficiency at B2 or C1 level for communication in an international environment.
- Teamwork and effective communication with business, technical, and analytical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Data Governance processes and standards in GCP.
- Build and develop the data catalog and manage metadata.
- Define metadata models, catalog structures, and relationships between objects.
- Implement solutions for data lineage, data quality, and data ownership.
- Create and enforce access-management standards and policies.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and business data-owner teams on governance and data quality.
- Support business users in finding, understanding, and using data.
- Help define and implement Data Contracts and data-exchange standards.
- Document processes, standards, and data models.
