Job Details

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or other higher education program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Have previous experience working with SIEM tools such as Splunk or IBM QRadar.
Have foundational experience or knowledge of security alert investigation and incident response processes.
Be familiar with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and XDR technologies and platforms.
Have knowledge of programming logic and apply structured reasoning when analyzing security events.
Interpret data, recognize patterns, and identify suspicious activities.
Communicate technical security findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Validate information carefully and apply attention to detail when making decisions.
Use proactive problem-solving to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
The role follows a daytime 12x36 schedule.

Monitor security alerts and events in real time within the SOC to identify suspicious behavior and potential threats.
Investigate security incidents, assess their causes and impact, and support response and mitigation actions.
Use SIEM platforms and other security technologies to collect, analyze, and correlate security data.
Prepare technical reports documenting incident findings, diagnoses, potential impacts, and mitigation and prevention recommendations.
Respond to security incidents by following established procedures and coordinating with technical teams when escalation or support is needed.
Contribute to improving security monitoring, incident investigation, and response processes.
Maintain documentation of investigations and response activities to support compliance with applicable security standards and regulations.
