Requirements
- Hold an MSc or PhD in computer science, computational linguistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bring a background in speech technology, computational linguistics, machine translation, and/or natural language processing.
- Have extensive knowledge and practical experience with end-to-end Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and language modeling techniques.
- Understand machine learning principles, algorithms, and statistical methods.
- Have proficient software engineering skills.
- Have experience with scripting languages such as shell scripting or Python.
- Have experience working with Linux and Windows platforms.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Preferred: experience with generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
- Preferred: expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, information retrieval, deep learning, or data mining.
- Preferred: fluency in at least one other non-English language.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments to assess ASR model quality and analyze how parameter tuning affects speech recognition accuracy.
- Identify, optimize, and cluster training data.
- Analyze product usage data to identify potential improvements to ASR processes, methods, and techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver results.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field and work to enhance ASR performance across multiple languages.
