Job Details

Have 5+ years of Python engineering experience with agent/AI systems.
Have hands-on experience implementing MCP servers or clients in a production agentic AI project.
Have experience building tool integrations for LLM agents, such as OpenAI functions, LangChain tools, or equivalent.
Be proficient in Python async programming, async HTTP services, and streaming protocols.
Have expertise in AWS Lambda development.
Understand agent tool integration patterns, including function calling, tool schema definition, and parameter validation.
Familiarity with LangChain or LangGraph tool integration is a plus.
Knowledge of AWS Bedrock AgentCore Gateway target registration is a plus.
Experience with semantic tool indexing, including embedding generation for tool descriptions, is a plus.
Experience integrating agent frameworks such as Strands, Crew, or AutoGPT is a plus.

Implement MCP protocol servers and clients, including tools/list and tools/call handling.
Design and maintain agent tool integrations using function calling, tool schema definition, and parameter validation.
Build and register MCP target types, including Lambda functions as tools, remote MCP servers, and OpenAPI-to-MCP translation.
Develop async HTTP services and streaming responses for MCP server/client communication.
Manage tool metadata, including schema registration, capability tagging, and versioning.
Handle capability negotiation and Streamable HTTP transport within the MCP protocol.
Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize agent tool integration patterns across the platform.
Support AWS AgentCore Gateway target registration for agent tool connectivity.
