Requirements
- Have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bring strong backend development fundamentals.
- Be proficient in Python and Bash.
- Be able to work in Linux environments.
- Have experience building and operating production systems.
- Ideally have experience with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
- Have strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
- Web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems experience is a plus.
- Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly GCP and Terraform, is a plus.
- Familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Discover new sources of audio data.
- Build reliable pipelines to bring audio data into training datasets.
- Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems.
- Optimize systems for data quality, throughput, and cost.
- Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets.
- Support the development of next-generation models.
- Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
