Requirements
- Have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bring strong backend development fundamentals.
- Be proficient in Python and Bash.
- Work in Linux environments.
- Have experience building and operating production systems.
- Ideally have experience with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
- Bring strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
- Nice to have: experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.
- Nice to have: experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly GCP and Terraform.
- Nice to have: familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
Responsibilities
- Discover new sources of audio data.
- Build reliable pipelines to bring audio data into training datasets.
- Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems.
- Optimize data-processing systems for data quality, throughput, and cost.
- Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets.
- Support development of next-generation models.
- Take ownership of engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
