Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Formal credit training preferred.
- 10+ years of commercial financing or equivalent lending experience.
- Established relationships and a demonstrated direct origination track record with relevant companies.
- Expertise negotiating, structuring, and closing complex loans.
- Proven ability to generate significant cross-sell revenue.
- Strong analytical and credit skills, including commercial lending credit, underwriting, and loan structuring.
- Ability to understand financial and cash flow analyses.
- Experience using a calling strategy to contact prospects and clients and develop a network to source deals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships that generate direct deal flow from clients and prospects.
- Coordinate a team approach to approving and closing deals to grow assets and revenue while optimizing profitability.
- Work with portfolio managers to engage sponsors and borrowers on ideas and opportunities to expand relationships.
- Partner with regional leadership to create group strategic plans and action plans.
- Set and track individualized team production and revenue goals, and forecast results based on existing pipelines.
- Monitor portfolio credit quality through timely financial statement collection and review of client reporting compliance.
- Analyze financial information and take or recommend corrective actions to manage bank risk exposure.
- Track industry trends and market conditions affecting the Sponsor Coverage group and assigned relationships.
