Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including implementing complex distributed-systems projects.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java.
- Understand multithreading, the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), garbage collection, and performance profiling tools.
- Have solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Have practical experience with relational SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
- Have strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
- Have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, including AI-driven and agentic coding workflows.
- Be able to investigate complex technical problems, design robust architectures, and optimize performance at scale.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Nice to have: experience with C++ or Golang.
- Nice to have: experience in machine learning or data science.
- Nice to have: a background in advertising technology or marketing technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software components and data-pipeline architectures.
- Build and improve distributed systems, investigating low-level system behavior and optimizing interactions between services and components.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Create ETL processes using SQL and big data technologies.
- Build data tools and infrastructure for data scientists and analysts.
- Contribute to real-time bidding systems, real-time budget management, event-processing platforms, and other distributed components.
- Apply AI-powered development tools and agentic coding techniques to engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with data science, analytics, product, and business stakeholders.
- Share technical knowledge, support engineering best practices, and mentor junior software engineers.
