Requirements
- Have strong written English for producing precise descriptive sentences and varying language.
- Demonstrate sharp attention to detail when distinguishing actions, object parts, and outcomes.
- Be comfortable following a detailed, structured style guide consistently, including in ambiguous or edge-case scenarios.
- Have basic comfort with spatial and mechanical descriptions, including left/right, above/below, and object parts such as handles, lids, or edges.
- Have reliable, self-directed work habits for focused work with periodic check-ins.
- Prior experience with video annotation, data labeling, transcription, or QA is a plus.
- Familiarity with robotics terminology such as grippers, end-effectors, and manipulation is helpful but not required.
- Experience with annotation tools such as Label Studio is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Watch robot manipulation videos filmed from three synchronized camera views.
- Break videos into time segments and write clear, natural-language descriptions of each segment.
- Label applicable segments at the atomic-motion, skill or subtask, and task or goal levels.
- Ensure every moment of video is covered by labels at two or more levels, including idle or pause moments.
- Describe what happens accurately, including dropped objects, failed grasps, and slipped grips.
- Cross-reference overhead and wrist-mounted camera views to identify objects and confirm contact and grasp details.
- Apply the style guide consistently for action vocabulary, spatial relationships, object descriptions, and movement.
- Participate in periodic calibration sessions using team and client reference examples.
